Why Do I Do THIS?

It’s possible that you’re wondering why I am a boudoir photographer… no, it’s probable.

The truth is I don’t think anyone just wakes up one day and thinks boudoir is the career for them. I could give you a backstory about a friend who asked me to take some photos of her and how much fun it was or the research and time it has taken to perfect what I do, but I want you to understand why I don’t just take boudoir photos- I encourage them, I teach them, I made this my lifestyle.

The word “empower” is used constantly these days. Current culture makes it sound like it’s simply about becoming stronger and being better than, but it’s SO. MUCH. MORE. “Empower” means ‘to give the authority to do something’ and ‘make stronger and more confident, especially in controlling their life and their rights’.

So let’s talk about that.

I am giving you the authority to control the narrative around your natural beauty. To make you confident in exactly who you are and not trying to fit into the fake one-size-fits-all culture that has been around for …pretty much forever.

I give you the authority to speak truth into your life about worth.

I give you the authority to tell others what you are worth.

I give you the authority to be CONFIDENT in your skin and to be STRONGER because you know your worth.

Why do I do what I do?

Because you need to know what it took me a long time to figure out. That your worth doesn’t come from your friends, your parents, siblings, spouses, children, or boss. Your worth is determined by your existence. Last I checked, you existed…congratulations, you are priceless.
