You’ve booked you session with an award-winning photographer, you’ve picked the outfits, the day approaches….
Obviously, bring yourself. We like you a lot and wouldn’t be showing up if it weren’t for the star of this session, YOU! But what else should you bring?
Let’s talk about what to throw in your boudie bag.
Outfits! Seems like a no brainer but if you’re nervous (like 95% of my clients) you may want to throw your outfit(s) in a bag the day before and set it by the door so you don’t forget that “maybe” outfit you feel is a bit risque even for boudoir- I mean, it’s not, and most likely your confidence boost from your shoot will make it a “definitely” outfit, but you never know unless you bring it.
In addition to your outfits, you may see something in my client closet that you like which I’m happy to loan for your session. I do require that you wear a nude or black thong underneath for hygienic purposes. I do get worn pieces washed and sanitized but still, no harm in being extra careful when it comes to being clean.
Bring water! If you’ve never had a boudoir session then you may not have heard the term “boudoir yoga”, but it’s no joke. You will be stretching, arching, and leaning in ways that may not feel very familiar – or maybe it is 😉 Either way, you will want to hydrate. A hydrated body is a limber, less sore, well-treated body. We’re all about treating our bodies well around here.
Whatever shade you’re wearing on your lips to make us swoon. You may need/ want to reapply at some point so toss that lip gloss or lipstick in your boudie bag after getting ready for your session.
If you’re not going directly home bring clothes for after. I prefer to have you wear loose fitting clothing before your session to reduce lines on your body for the session. If you’re heading on a lunch date, to work, or it’s super hot out- you may want to bring the appropriate clothing for after.
We love to capture your natural beauty so whether you walk in feeling prepared or not, you are going to look smokin’ hot, babe. I can’t wait to see you in the studio!
